March Madness

Hi Everyone,

Just finished throwing some things in a bag, changed some guitar strings, set my alarm for tomorrow mornings flight to Atlanta.
I have two shows this weekend. One just outside Atlanta at The Academy Theater in Avondale Estates, GA. @ 8:00PM. Then on Sunday I'm playing in Ft. Lauderdale at the annual Ft. Lauderdale Billfish Tournament. Should be fun.

In honor of a new year and some new gigs I've posted a brand new song on my Myspace page. I kinda rushed putting it up - read - it's really not done yet. I just wanted you to hear what I've been working on. More will be coming as the months progress.
I like this one because it's slightly different from the kind of stuff I usually find myself recording.

After this weekend, I'll be back in NY for a day then to Texas for some 'private shows'.
I'm really looking forward to the end of the month, Chicago, Cleveland and finishing off in NYC at The Bitter End.
Just in time for a trip to Japan with Todd.
I've been shying away from Sushi after reading an article about increased Mercury levels in fish these days but I just might have to ignore that warning for a week.
If I come back from Tokyo with a silvery glow about me, you'll know I've gone a bit overboard.
So, if you have a spare 4 minutes check out the new tune "Watching The World Go By" at; http://www.myspace.com/kasimsulton

Hey Kasim...just remember to celebrate this 'extra' day of life - February 29 - this gift of 24 hours more - before rushing into the madness that is March:) Do something special to mark the day! By the looks of your schedule, that "special thing" may just be a long, quiet, deep breath.
Though, I am a bit envious of your busy schedule as I am just emerging from a, sort of, spiritual hibernation and am more than ready and rested to dig my heels back into the Earth and begin to spin with her.
Such is life.
I wish you and Todd and the band a safe, toxic free journey to Japan.
Can't wait to see you all again.
Peace,
Lindy

Love the new song - it made me smile and after 3 plays I'm singing along. So needed that this evening - thank you!

Positive energy going your way for a great first show in Atlanta. Wish I could be there but having a DVD of the show is very kewl!!

Of course you have to eat sushi - we gotta live life to the fullest the rest is not in our hands.

Just do it!

Hi Kasim,

Snow's a fallin'in New York City and quickly blanketing the place. That's why it's nice to have a working radiator, a cup of coffee and your brand new wonderful song to accompany the new "dusting".:)
I love the feel of the song---makes me want to "bop" around town with a smile. But, no one has a bigger, more radiant smile than you. This time it's for good reason 'cause this song is a HIT! I love it. Have a great string of shows and soak up the sun.
Love & light & inspiration.

Hi Kasim,

Regretfully, we couldn't come see you in Atlanta tonight. We all have the flu.

Do you think they will sell the DVD's to people who weren't at the show?

Kasim, I saw you three at the Abbey pub last night. Wow! Were do you get all that energy. Your like fine wine that gets better every year. What a show.

I was there with my brother David in the wheelchair(fell on the ice this winter and broke his hip) and when you sang "Back on the Street Again" it took us back to the first time we saw Todd and you at the Auditorium Theatre for the Opps Wrong Planet tour. 1977? I was 17, he was 16. He became a Todd Rundgren fan ever since. I'm a Kasim Sulton fan.

It seems criminal for me to see such a talented artist like you, up front and personnel in such a small venue for only 25 clams. And to top it off I got a shirt and hat for $20.00. It's criminal I tell ya!

Stay Well, Stay Strong.
