HELP! Posted by Picasa

SOLO SHOWS !!

OK ... Looks like I've inadvertently been dealt some extra time. What better way to spend it than to dust off my Acoustic Guitar, clear my throat and play some solo shows?
I've been looking for just this kind of break in the action for sometime now and to be honest, I didn't think it would come in the form of my good friend hurting himself, but alas ... I'm left with some blank calendar dates that can't be left unfilled.
So far there are only two shows confirmed but we're working on more in the coming weeks.
Heres what I would like to humbly ask of you all who frequent this site among others that list my comings and goings ... If you could possibly help make these few shows successful in terms of attendance, I would be even more indebted to you than I already am (is that possible?). I'm kind of going out on a limb putting it out there like this but I felt it's important for you to know that the only way I can continue to do these kind of shows is by having as many people as possible attending. If your planning on being in the Philadelphia or South Jersey area in late July, bring a friend or two, or three! I'm especially nice to kids too! Seriously, sooner or later, my 'Sidekick' status will wear thin (some might say sooner than later!) and I'll be left with nothing else to do BUT solo shows. If I make a good showing on this run, I'll be able to continue on into the ever expanding future.
I'm not one to ask for help frequently but if you can ...
Oh ... I'll be playing NEW Kasim Music!
Details to follow in the coming days.
Thanks Guys.

Pit Stop

I'm sure by now it's become abundantly clear that, due to events beyond anyone's control, we've had to take a little break.
Most of you know that Elliot tried his best to continue working after breaking his collar bone, falling in the bus a few days ago. As much as he wanted to continue, it became painfully obvious that he was going to need more than a sling on his arm in order to heal correctly. I have to say, the fact that he did ANY shows at all after the accident is testament to his professionalism, determination and will to carry on. I can't imagine how for four shows, he got on stage and performed flawlessly, not complaining to anyone once.
It's sad for sure but, Elliot's health is far more important than any show we were scheduled to play. Believe me, I saw his Xrays from the Emergency Room in D.C. and the two halves of his clavicle (where the break occurred) were separated by more than an inch. There was no way that this would have healed by itself.
No one is more disappointed than the band and crew who worked so hard to make this such a special and one of a kind show.
We aren't done by any means. We intend to continue as soon as possible.
Everyone was having such a great time doing this that I'm sure it won't be too long before we're back doing shows again.
Debbie and her band were the best to work with and in my opinion, the package was a good match musically speaking.
Sometimes life throws you a curve ball.
