Do You Want To Know A Secret

I'm here in LA.
Have been for the past week and a half.
I'm here working on a TOP SECRET project.
I HATE keeping secrets but sadly, this is one I'm gonna have to until I'm told by the powers that be it's ok to let everyone know what I'm up to.
Lets see ... How could I go about giving some surreptitious hints without getting myself in Dutch with management????
OK ... One of the guys I'm working with out here is not only an old friend of mine but someone with whom I spent the better part of 10 years working with.
Another person involved in this project has been a close friend of mine for 25 years and in 1980, helped me on my first solo record (although he doesn't appear on it).
The music we will eventually be performing is not just familiar, anyone watching primetime TV might have been subjected to one or two of the songs that are currently being used in commercials.
I wish I could give you more clues but I've probably said too much already. The plan is to announce this collaboration early next month.
Suffice to say, this project will see me out on the road pretty much all of 2006.
I'm due back out here (LA) on November 9th to begin recording with Meat Loaf so, I better get used to the beautiful weather, 'hello's' from strangers and plastic boobs.
All of which are abundant in this area.
Any guesses on the hints?
I'm sure Phyllis has one or two.

And In The End

Well, it's been a great tour everyone.
Thanks to all who attended the 48 shows we did here, in Europe and the UK. We certainly had a blast the whole time.
These last few shows were fun and it was nice to end here in the States - just means I don't have to travel too far to go home.
I really hope you've all had fun looking at the pictures I've posted along the way ... I don't claim to be a Scavullo but I did my best to give you all a small glimpse into road life through my eyes.
I've been working with Meat Loaf now for a little over 12 years. The longest I've been in any one band. it's been a real treat for me to have started as a keyboardist & rythym guitarist, then to go on to become the Bassist and MD (not Medical Doctor!), a position I'm more accustomed to.
As I finish packing my suitcase for the plane ride home - with a stop in Milwalky for the Guitarfest show - I'll leave you with these pictures from the last couple of shows and trust you'll all stay in good spirits, happy and healthy.
I'll be letting you all know very soon what the next few months have in store for me so please check back soon. Go to my website, sign up for my mailing list and write to me whenever the mood strikes ... I'm pretty good at answering most emails!

Love you all,

Kasim
