Oralndo

Five more shows to go folks.
It's been fun. All the bumps and near misses have faded into a blur of jokes and 'remember when's.
For the most part, we've been on the road for 4 months. Only short breaks here and there and as much as I love what I do and the guys I'm doing it with, it's time to go home.
I'm really happy that I had this forum to keep you all entertained with the daily crazyness that goes on from minute to minute. I tried to keep it within a 'G' rating so as not to offend any of my younger visitors. Thruthfully, it doesn't get too bad out here. The debauchery that once was rampant in this business has all but vanished. This is very much a family oriented organization.
I trust everyone who has had the opportunity to see one of the shows on this tour has left with a smile on their face. Everyone works their tail off to make each concert a great experience. No one works harder than Meat Loaf and standing next to him night after night, city after city is an honor and a priveledge for me. As is working with everyone in the band and crew.
I'll make a few more posts here before the last show but I'm gonna miss these updates and I promise to keep you all in my little loop in the coming months. There will be some exciting news concerning me very soon.

Love, Kasim

Meat Loaf Benefit Concert

Hi all,

Heres the skinny on the benefit show we're doing a week from today.

Saturday September 17th in Savannah Georgia at Oglethorpe Speedway Park.
All tickets are $25.00 with all proceeds going to The Red Cross Relief Fund for victims of hurricane Katrina.
I will be performing my openning set during this concert.

Not only that but I will be placing my Bass Guitar - the prototype K. Sulton Bass that I've been using this whole tour - up for raffle.
Raffle tickets will be $2.00 for a chance to win the guitar which the entire band will sign. Not bad for a piece of my history.
I'm not sure when during the day the drawing will be, if I'll do it or if Meat will handle it but as soon as I get the details I'll post them here and in a mass mail.

Montage Mountain

It's been a while since my last entry here. I was home for a bit and just didn't have the time to update the blog ... my appologies to all who visited during that time.
That and the events of last week in the south made a blog entry seem less than necessary.
I'm pleased to tell you that we have secured a venue for the benefit concert to aid in the relief effort for the displaced in the wake of Katrina.
It will be held in Savanah, Georgia on the same day we were to play in Biloxi, MS.
Meat Loaf has agreed to allow me to do my short openning set at that show.
As soon as I get the details, I will post them here and also in a mass mail to all on my list.
Night before last we played in Pensylvania at Montage Mountain. These past five shows we've had a special guest openning for us, my old friend John Waite. What a great voice the guy has! We go WAY back. Right after his biggest hit in the 80's - 'Missing You' - both Willie Wilcox and myself were thinking of joining him on tour. We did a few rehearsals in N.Y.C. with him but it never panned out. We've remained friends and it was great to have him and his guitarist Jimmy Lehey on board with us for these past few shows.
Again, check back here over the next couple days for more info on the benefit concert.
